Applications
- surface water and ground water treatment
- pre-treatment prior to reverse osmosis
- drinking water treatment
- industrial process water & waste water treatment
- municipal waste water treatment
The systems are specifically designed as an effective pre-treatment before reverse osmosis systems.
Reduce the frequency of cartridge changes by a factor of 10. Increase membrane life by 30-80% (compared to classic multimedia filtration systems).
Remove from water:
- suspended particles up to 2 microns
- turbidity
- most protozoa, fungi, cryptosporidium and bacterial flakes
- significantly improves SDI before reverse osmosis systems
- prevents the formation of biofilms on the surface of the filter media grains
How does the MF work:
The system works on the principle of a bulk pressure filter. In the vertical column there is a special filtering material, in its upper and lower parts there are drainage systems, which are connected to the control valve by a central pipe - a collector. Water enters the filter from top to bottom, passes through the filter layer, is collected by the drainage system and exits the filter through the collector.
Filter regeneration (restoration of its filtration properties) is carried out using an automatic control valve and consists of two stages: backwash and fast rinse. The filter is washed with raw (unpurified) water. During the regeneration, the water supply for consumption is stopped.
The frequency of filter regenerations depends on the actual daily consumption and the quality of the source water.
For balanced operation of the filter with maximum cleaning efficiency, a hydraulic water flow limiter is used, which is installed on the drainage water line (it works during regeneration with a flushing rate limited to 30 m/h).
Optionally, the systems can be equipped with "Smart" - restrictors for the flow of purified water. This technical solution makes it possible to operate the filter bed with high productivity and, at the same time, achieve high quality of treated water.
We recommend installing additional restrictors for the purified water flow in the following cases:
- in installations where it is important to obtain the maximum quality of treated water;
- if the installed system can work unevenly in terms of productivity (there are peak loads when the flow rate of purified water can exceed the nominal productivity of the filter at a filtration rate of 18 m/h);
- if after the installed filter there are no other (additional) cleaning systems that are installed without a “jet break” tank (reverse osmosis systems, other filtration stages, etc.).
Advantages
- lowest price in the market
- does not require a disc or screen pre-filter
- does not require a post-filter afterwards
- minimum dimensions of the system
- higher water flow rate for backwashing is not necessary
- systems can be combined into Duplex and Triplex without additional cost
- no-Bypass valve included
- service life of the media 5-10 years
